

Through the Looking GlassAlice opened her eyes, not surprised to see that once again she had wakened before the sun had risen. She shook the slight chill that had settle in her bones off of her as she stood. The blanket hit the floor next to her feet as she took a step towards the window. It was a dreary day, the horizon of gray paired perfectly with the dismal appearance of muddy fields not yet planted. She gazed down at her own backyard; even the well manicured garden her mother so adored looked dismal, its daises wilted and hanging. | I am an aspiring artist/novelist living in Wisconsin, just off of Lake Michigan. I currently work as Manager for a construction company, which serves to pay the bills.
